Good to know
I've never surfed before. Is that OK?
Yes — most of our guests have never touched a board. Most are standing up in their first lesson.
Do I need to be able to swim?
You don't need to be a strong swimmer. Lessons are in shallow water where you can stand, with an instructor next to you and the board attached to your ankle. If you're not confident in the water, tell us when you book so we can pair you one-to-one with an instructor.
What's included, and what should I bring?
Surfboard, a 2-hour lesson and a beach briefing are included. Bring swimwear, sunscreen and a towel.
Where do we meet?
Right in front of Mercure Kuta Bali, on Kuta Beach. We email you the exact spot and a map link as soon as you book.
Is there a hotel pickup?
No — we meet on the beach. A Grab or Gojek ride is the easiest way to get here: tell your driver "Mercure Kuta Bali" and we're right out front. Many Kuta hotels are within walking distance.
Can kids join?
Yes. We take families regularly and match the instructor to each person's level.
Can I book for today?
Not online — the earliest date you can pick is tomorrow. For today, message us on WhatsApp; we can often fit you in.
